Our Light Output is a White Daylight D50 (5000Kelvin) as per BSI/ISO 3664:2009 Standards not the Blue White D65(6500Kelvin).
IP66 > IP65 Sealing against Dust & High Pressure Water
Our LED Luminaire Battens observe the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) system for measuring our battens' environmental capabilities. The IP / Ingress Protection Code reflects the degree of protection as "IP" followed by two numbers; the first digit giving the level of protection against dirt and dust particles, and the second digit indicating the extent of protection against water. Our IP66 battens offer the highest protection against particles, and a very high level of protection against water. Our LED batten luminaires adhere to these standards.
IP66 luminaire batten characteristics:

Note the lesser standard IP65 only gives protection from LOW pressure water jets
EMC - Screening Radio and Phone Interference
EMC (or Electromagnetic Compatibility) rules apply to our electrical lighting equipment and these have been designed and manufactured to ensure they do not cause or are affected by electromagnetic disturbances. These rules implemented in the EU Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive have been also been included into UK law.
The aim of these regulations are to ensure that electromagnetic disturbance generated by electrical or electronic equipment doesn’t reach levels which would prevent your radios, telephones and other electronic equipment from working properly. These also exist to ensure that our lighting equipment itself has adequate protection from electromagnetic disturbances.
IK10 - Shielding LEDs against Knocks and Impacts
IK ratings test the shock resistance of our battens to external mechanical forces (such as vandalism or accidental knocks). It is a measure in relationship with the IK Code according to British and European standards EN 50102 . The letters IK 10 indicates the level of shock resistance of our luminaire batten to a hammer impact. Ours is rated 10 on a scale of 10 showing it has a very high resistance to shock.
GWFT 850 C - Defending you against Fire
To ensure that our luminaire battens are as resistant to fire and heat as possible, our product are tested to ensure they comply to one of the highest IEC 6095 GWFT index ratings. This is to ensure that they do not catch fire, glow or emit a flame at an 850 Celsius hot wire test.

BS & EN60598-1 - Protecting your Electrical Safety
These are the general safety requirements and tests we apply to our electrical luminaires.
It specifies the essential safety and performance requirements for the design, construction and testing of our luminaires for both general and special applications.
The standard has been revised to take account of the latest developments in lighting technology. These include the increased use of our ‘LED’ light sources and it also covers things such as the marking, construction and external and internal wiring of lighting equipment. It provides the requirements for the provision for earthing and demonstrates how to protect people and goods against electrical shock. Other topics include endurance and thermal tests, resistance to heat, fire and tracking, and screw and screwless terminals.
Rohs - Preserving the Environment & Assisting Recycling
RoHS ( or Restriction of Hazardous Substances ) is an EU directive aimed to curb certain dangerous substances ( i.e. mercury ) that have been used in electrical lighting equipment.Its purpose is to help with recycling of luminaires , and also to protect the environment against potentially poisonous and dangerous materials . So we have adhered to the restrictions set out below as these are applied in our products.
The RoHS compliant component is tested (such as solder ) for the presence of Lead, Cadmium , Mercury , Hexavalent chromium , Polybrominated biphenyls PBB, and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers PBDE . For Cadmium and Hexavalent chromium, there must be less than 0.01% of the substance by weight at materials level.
For Lead, PBB, and PBDE, there must be no more than 0.1% of the material. Any RoHS compliant component must have 100 ppm or less of mercury and the mercury must not have been intentionally added to the component.
SELV (separated extra-low voltage) – Extra shielding against Electric Shock
Our Osram LED drivers assure our LED Battens comply with SELV ensuring the voltage cannot exceed Extra Low Voltage levels. This is in compliance with BSI and European EN 60335 standards.
To enhance your safety the SELV circuitry shields you by providing:
- Only extra-low voltage supplied to active parts
- A Lower risk of accidental contact with a higher voltage
- The Lack of a return path through earth (ground) that electric could take in case of contact with a human body.
UK Building Regulations Part L1 and L2 (2013) Compliant - More than meeting carbon and energy saving requirements
These government regulations apply minimum efficiency standards for lighting to refurbishments of old and construction of new dwellings and buildings. Our Led Battens exceed these, old technologies such as incandescent bulbs, tungsten filament and halogen lamps do not.
